About Us

Improving lives through health, education, and economic opportunities for underserved New Yorkers since 2022.

Our Story

The Well-Ed Project, Inc. was founded by Annita M. Taylor-Hall, a Nurse Practitioner, educator, and entrepreneur with a background in healthcare and business. Raised in an underserved community in Brooklyn, NY, Ms. Taylor-Hall is dedicated to addressing systemic barriers that limit access to essential resources.

The man is smiling and wearing a yellow t-shirt, while the professional is dressed in a white coat. There are several people standing around, likely part of an event or fair. Medical supplies and informational materials are scattered on the table.

Founder: Ms. Annita M. Taylor

Before founding The Well-Ed Project, Ms. Taylor-Hall launched Taylor Made Services LLC and Noir Well Health, initiatives that aimed to bring health screenings, wellness services, and academic and career support directly to the people in their communities by opening practices right where they are needed. Over the past four years, these programs have positively impacted over 20,000 families and individuals in New York City by offering health screenings, vaccinations, education, food, and support.

Building on the success of her prior work, Ms. Taylor-Hall created The Well-Ed Project, Inc. as a nonprofit initiative to expand these efforts. The Well-Ed Project is dedicated to improving the quality of life for low-income and underserved residents in New York City. In addition to providing immediate needs such as food, clothing, and essential supplies, we focus on offering skills building and educational programs designed to empower individuals.

A Holistic Approach

At The Well-Ed Project, Inc., we recognize that true empowerment comes from access to a wide range of educational opportunities. In addition to health-related initiatives, we offer diverse educational programs.

Our goal is to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to achieve their personal and professional goals, improve their financial literacy, and build a more stable and fulfilling future. We work closely with other community organizers, advocacy leaders, and local networks to provide a holistic approach to empowerment, ensuring that our programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of our community.

By offering these educational and skills-building opportunities, we aim to foster a culture of self-reliance and create long-term positive change within underserved communities.
